With many students paying $400 to $500 per semester on textbooks, the UWGB Student Government Association is exploring options that would lower textbook prices. Gamblers fall behind quickly in series, 0-2 to Force Fourth Estate Newspaper After a scoreless first period, the Fargo Force was able to put two quick goals past the Green Bay Gamblers goalkeeper Steve Summerhays, lifting the Force to a 2-0 victory in Game 1 of the Clark Cup at the Resch Center April 30. Green Bay could not find the back of the net despite a 14-8 shot advantage after the first period.

Men's golf falls short at Horizon League Championship Fourth Estate Newspaper The UW-Green Bay men's golf team concluded its season last weekend when it competed in the 2010 Horizon League Championships at Kearney Hills Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky. The team shot a two-day, three-score total of 12 over par, 881, six strokes behind the champion, Detroit Titans.

Warren aims to continue rebuilding process with women's soccer Fourth Estate Newspaper The Green Bay women's soccer team is recovering after losing 14 players from last year's team, but Head Coach Trevor Warren is confident about where his team is headed next season. "When I took over the program, we did some changes and those changes are kind of over," Warren said.

Women's golf looking to build on foundation Fourth Estate Newspaper After the past couple years, UW-Green Bay's women's golf program has finished last in the Horizon League Tournament, which isn't a surprise since it is the youngest team in the Horizon League. April 25 the team showed it is ready to compete. In the 2007-2008 season, which was the programs first, the Phoenix golfed an 1137, which was 130 strokes behind the next closest team.

A civil war for My Chemical Romance Fourth Estate Newspaper Bands come and bands go, but one band that has been around since 2001 is My Chemical Romance. The band formed a week after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. They are an alternative-rock, emo band from New Jersey. The members of the band include Gerard Way as lead vocals, Ray Toro as lead guitar and backing vocals, Mikey Way as bass guitar and backing vocals, Frank Iero as rhythm guitar and backing vocals and Bob Bryar as drummer.

Friends, family honor Whitney Radder at April 26 memorial Fourth Estate Newspaper UW-Green Bay lost 19-year-old freshman student Whitney Radder in a tragic car accident April 20. Celebration of Whitney's Life, a campus event to remember Radder, was held last week at the Ecumenical Center on campus. The event served as a time for friends, family and colleagues of Radder to get together and share memories.

DNR plan prevents runoff Fourth Estate Newspaper The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is creating a plan to help prevent phosphorus runoff ultimately improving water conditions. Dan Hels, the water shed supervisor for the DNR, said the proposed plan will regulate water treatment plants and clean up the water.

Volunteers needed for Cellcom Marathon to benefit local organizations Fourth Estate Newspaper For the past ten years, Cellcom has been making a difference in the Green Bay community with its annual Cellcom Marathon. Marking its eleventh year, Cellcom, in partner with Family Services, Cerebral Palsy, Inc., and the Green Bay Boys and Girls Club, is extending the race to take place over two days.
